Nova vap
Concentrated evaporator treatment

Product Description :

Soot Remover is a dry powder compound formulated for safe removal of soot and deposits

Description :

NOVA VAP concentrated evaporator treatment is a concentrated liquid formulation of active polymers and antifoam agent developed specifically to present scale deposition and carry over in high temperature, high production malti-stage evaporator. NOVA VAP is very effective in sea water, brackish and fresh water. NOVA VAP may also be used to remove existing scale deposits.

NOVA VAP is significantly capable of reducing the amount of acid cleaning required to maintain designed distillate production.

Features :

— Polyacrylate, Poly electrolyte based scale inhibitor formulated for use in high production multi-stage units.

— Contains an antifoam, does not contain any phosphates

— Concentrated liquid formulation.

Typical Physical Properties :

Appearance — clear to slightly hazy, staw coloured liquid pH, undiluted -

Sp. gravity — 1 .02 to 1 .06 at 2SoC

Flash point — nonflammable

Application and Use :

NOVA VAP should be diluted with fresh or seawater and fed continuously to the evaporator feed line. The polymers prevent the scale forming minerals in the water from precipitating crystal growths in their normal manner. The scale forming crystal patterns are altered so that they cannot adhore tightly to themselves or the metal surfaces. The overall effect of treatment with NOVA VAP is that thin layers of material are continuonely being deposited and removed from the heat transfer surfaces before they become thick enough to impare heat transfer. The detached solids are held in suspension and ultimately carried out of the evaporator with the over board discharge brine.

The recommended dosage rate is 10 ppm i.e.10 mI per ton of distilled water produced per day based on this ratio capacity at normal operating temperature and a brine density of 1.5/32 nds. If the brine densify is increased the dosage should be increased proportionally.
