NOVACHEM Bauxite Remover is recommended for removing deposits of bauxite / iron ore / iron ore pellets on cargo holds, as well as cleaning any bauxite / iron ore stains on metal surfaces and articles. NOVACHEM Bauxite Remover offers for tackling a variety of contamination and deposit problems.

Use And Dosing :

Instructions are based on experience and are meant only as a guide since circumstances for each tank cleaning operation vary. They are not intended to interfere with the judgment of the vessel’s responsible personnel. Always add acids to water, never the reverse. Since NOVACHEM Bauxite Remover is acidic, operators must always consult the safety instructions on the product’s material safety data sheet before use. Always try to preclean tanks with high pressure water, so as to remove large deposits and ensure an effective cleaning operation. Be sure that the surface has dried, before applying the chemicals, in order to avoid unnecessary dilution.
For heavy deposit build-up, apply NOVACHEM Bauxite Remover undiluted. For lighter cases of deposition, on large surface areas, the solution strength may be between 10% - 30%. When the residues are met in difficult-to clean places, such as corner cavities, tank skeleton inlets, etc., apply NOVACHEM Bauxite Remover using conventional means such as brushes, mops, sponges or any other manual device, while cleaning in a rapid and irregular way. Let it soak for 15 minutes. Afterwards, wash thoroughly by applying high-pressure water source. If deposits persist, repeat the cleaning procedure.

Product Properties :

Safe to use on all metal surfaces and parts except aluminium, zinc, tin and its alloys. It is highly recommended to always test all cleaner solutions on a small area of tank coating, before full scale application.
